On March 23rd 2015, 23 undocumented migrants from Pakistan, Nigeria, Iraq, Egypt and Iran who are detained in Paranesti closed camp went on hunger strike, demanding to receive papers and be granted immediate release.
A total of 210 adults and 80 minors are incarcerated in Paranesti camp, near the city of Drama (northern Greece), among whom are people with a serious medical condition “treated” only with painkillers.
