Athens: Demo in memory of slain anarchist Lambros Foundas, and in solidarity with the Revolutionary Struggle members and all those prosecuted in the same case

Demonstration in memory of anarchist Lambros Foundas, member of Revolutionary Struggle…

Three years ago, on the 10th of March 2010, comrade Lambros Foundas was killed in armed battle with the police in the suburb of Dafni, Athens, in his attempt to expropriate a car which would have been used in an action of the organization.

Lambros Foundas is one of us, and he gave his life fighting for freedom.

The comrade’s action was linked to the struggle against the economic and political elite that, under the pretext of the global financial crisis, wants to impose a new totalitarianism on the planet.

The best way to honour a comrade who lost his life in battle is to continue the struggle for social revolution, for a society of equality and freedom.

… and in solidarity with the Revolutionary Struggle members and all those prosecuted in the same case

The trial of the Revolutionary Struggle case is currently at the final stage.

This trial has been a field of political confrontation, of political advocating for the organization’s actions and positions regarding the struggle against the establishment and the prevailing conditions of modern totalitarianism, with the ultimate goal of social revolution.

At the same time, through this court proceeding, the discourse of comrades who have acted in the context of other forms of struggle and were targeted by repression for their choices was also highlighted. Through their statements in court, they confirmed the polymorphous nature of subversive struggle, by defending their political affinity and action within the anarchist space.

Today, more than ever before, the necessity for aiming our solidarity towards the sharpening of the social liberation struggle has become imperative.
