Cyprus: Antifascists protested outside the Greek Embassy in Nicosia in memory of Shehzad Luqman, who was stabbed to death by two neo-Nazis in Athens

Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.
—Albert Einstein (1921)

Antifascists gathered in front of the Greek Embassy in Nicosia on the 21st of January 2013 to protest over the murder of a 26-year-old immigrant from Pakistan, Shehzad Luqman. In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 17th Shehzad was stabbed to death by Golden Dawn followers in the district of Ano Petralona, Athens.

Comrades unfolded a banner at the embassy’s entrance for about half an hour, which read: ‘Shehzad Luqman, slain from fatal stabbings of Golden Dawn fascists – Complete disgrace’ and they then took to the main streets of Nicosia. The antifascist march ended near Ledras street.

Let’s not repeat the mistakes of the past. Fascists have always been a tool of the system; let’s isolate them.
