Thessaloniki: Update on the trial of anarchist Babis Tsilianidis

Comrade Babis Tsilianidis, imprisoned now in the 1st wing of Koridallos prisons, stated that he will not attend this court, in the same way he did not attend previous court proceedings, thus ‘refusing to apologize to my judges, to prosecutors of the multiform liberation struggle,’ as he explains in his text, which can be found here (in Greek).

Also, on the occasion of the trial against Babis—where he refused to be present— comrades Babis Tsilianidis, Dimitris Dimtsiadis and Sokratis Tzifkas released a joint communiqué (brochure in Greek) regarding wage labour and denial of wage labour as thematic edges of the overall anarchist revolutionary struggle.

On July 18th, in Thessaloniki, the trial was cancelled since the particular court had no jurisdiction for this case. Cops guarded the central entrance gate of the courts and did not permit solidaritarians to even step in the place.

Babis Tsilianidis has been transferred back to Koridallos prisons, in Athens, after being held one whole day in solitary confinement in Diavata prisons because he once more refused to undergo prison strip search.

The trial was scheduled for October 15th, 2012.
